Thank you to everyone who submitted an application for moderating. It was a difficult choice, but I have made the selections: please welcome ~Puddum and ~Elveanna! ~Puddum will be helping me with gallery submissions, while ~Elveanna will be helping with a completely new system: art critiques!

As a gallery moderator of a large and ever-growing community, I want to keep some sort of standard with the submissions accepted into the #tolkien group; however, I do not want to discourage any new artists, and as a group we should be able to provide help and encouragement. This is where Critiques come in.

Starting now, any member of #tolkien can submit their work- both finished work and WiPs- to the group's Favorite's folder. You can only submit your works, and only works you want a critique and advice on. In other words, this Favorite's folder will NOT be like your favorite's folder, but rather a place where you can put up work to be critiqued that can be separate from the normal gallery.

A couple guidelines:

Because this is the #tolkien group, only Tolkien-related work can be submitted to be critiqued on to the Favorite's folder.

ANY Tolkien-related work- including pieces that have been rejected for the gallery- can be submitted here.

Do NOT submit work you do NOT want a critique on here! If you have a piece that follows the Terms of Submission, submit it to the gallery!

Just like the gallery, do not submit pieces that are *not* your own to the favorites. Favorites submissions are for critiques only!

One other piece of news: Because our group is continuously growing and submissions are ever increasing, the group has lowered its weekly submissions from 3 a week to 2 a week.

Terms of Submission, the FAQ, and other such things will soon reflect these changes.
